About the Assignment
In this assignment you will work with detailed component design for very high voltages and fast rise-time phenomena, where electrical performance is critical even when mechanical design is involved. You will contribute across the full development chain—from concept and simulation to prototyping and laboratory verification—together with a multidisciplinary team in an R&D-focused environment.
Job DescriptionLead design and optimization of high-voltage pulsed power components and solutions (electrical and/or mechanical aspects).
Perform both theoretical and practical engineering work, including simulation, prototyping, and laboratory measurements.
Develop solutions for energy transfer, impedance matching, and rugged design for demanding operating conditions.
Plan and execute experiments, analyze outcomes, and feed results into research and product development.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines to solve complex technical challenges.
RequirementsSenior experience in electrical, mechanical, or measurement engineering.
Hands-on experience with pulsed power systems and detailed component design for high voltage.
Experience designing components involving insulation materials and field grading.
Practical experience with high-voltage measurements and laboratory work.
Ability to take designs from concept to prototype and product.
Engineering degree in engineering, physics, or a related field.
Nice to haveBackground in high pulsed power or high-voltage systems.
Knowledge of impedance matching, electrical fatigue, flashover prevention, partial discharge, and failure analysis.
